The cold and bitter weather is a harsh reminder that winter is upon us. The Rahway Police Department joined forces with a local clothing company in an effort to help keep the children of Rahway warm this winter.

Daron Fashions Inc. generously donated over 125 coats that went directly to less fortunate children in the Rahway community. Members of the Rahway Police Department Detective Bureau reached out to the Rahway school nurses, who helped to identify children in the school system that were truly in need of a warm winter coat. The need this year was much greater than in the past, but Daron Fashions Inc., was able to fulfill their needs entirely. Rahway Mayor Samson Steinman is proud of this joint effort stating, “This is an opportunity to help people who are struggling on a daily basis. The collaboration between the Rahway Police Department, Daron Fashions, and the Rahway school nurses is a true testament to the strength of our community.”
