The Rahway Police Department would like to congratulate Officer Scott Rayack for receiving special recognition from the Middlesex/ Union Counties Chapter of Mothers Against Drunk Driving for his enforcement efforts against drunk drivers.
MADD held a special ceremony on May 17, 2006, at the College Center Campus of Middlesex County College in Edison, honoring police officers and other individuals from Union and Middlesex Counties who have been instrumental in preventing drunken driving.
Officer Rayack, an aggressive young officer who has been with the Rahway Police Department since July 2004, made the most DWI arrests in the department during 2005. The Middlesex/Union County Chapter of MADD presented Officer Rayack with a certificate for Outstanding Commitment and Service, and a uniform pin emblazoned with 39:4-50, which is the New Jersey statute pertaining to DWI enforcement. Officer Rayack also received a clock that was donated by the Sandra Stagg Memorial Trust Fund. Sandra Stagg was a 17-year-old Union County resident that was killed 24 years ago by a drunken driver. Ms. Stagg’s parents were present at this ceremony.
