Police Officer Shawn Ganley, was honored by the Rahway City Council on November 10, 2003. Officer Ganley was presented an honorary resolution recognizing his service to our nation during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Ganley, who has been a Rahway Police Officer since 1999, entered the Unite States Army in November 1988 and served actively until his honorable discharge in May of 1993, at which time he was placed on reserve duty. In January 2003, his reserve unit, the 920th Transportation Company, Jersey City, was re-activated and sent to Iraq. Six months later, his unit was released from active duty and he was placed back on reserve duty status. Presenting the resolution is Second Ward Councilman Francis Janusz, left.
