26th Annual National Night
Out Against Crime
The Rahway Police Department
invites you to join us as we join forces with the residents of Rahway and
thousands of communities nationwide for the“26th Annual National Night
Out Against Crime” (NNO) crime prevention and drug awareness event.
National Night Out is designed to: (1) Heighten crime and drug prevention
awareness: (2) Generate support for local anti-crime efforts: (3) Strengthen
neighborhood spirit and police community partnerships: and (4) Send a
message to criminals letting them know neighborhoods are organized and
fighting back. NNO has proven to be an effective and enjoyable program that
promotes police-community partnerships in our fight for a safer nation.
There will also be signups for the Rahway Neighborhood Watch Program and
Community Emergency Response Team (CERT).
The event, which will take place on THURSDAY August 6th from
6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, will this year be a part of Rahway’s 1st Thursday
celebration. This event will showcase classic cars, an oldies concert and
emergency vehicles on display. The National Night Out celebration will be
located in historic Downtown Rahway (at the corner of Irving and Elm Ave.).
There will be food vendors at this event for the purchase of food and
refreshments.
